The coat of a Komondor consists of long, coarse cords, which may be wavy or curly, with a softer undercoat. The hair tends to cling together like tassels to give the corded appearance. The color is always white, and the skin is gray, but pink skin is acceptable.<\/p>\n
If neglected, the coat forms into large, matted “plates”. The cords are strong and heavy, and felt-like to touch. For the show ring, the Komondor is presented as corded. Do a lot of research before taking on this breed.<\/p>\n
